Who we are...
The Wilderness Guides Council is a non-profit, membership organization dedicated to the concept that wilderness is the root source of our spiritual values, inspiration and healing. While each of our members operates their business independently, we are each committed to the same mission and ethics. We are incorporated in the United States and our members can be found around the world.
Whether you are a guide looking for other guides to share experiences and hold community with, or are an individual seeking a guide for wilderness initiation, we hope you will take the time to explore this web site and it's resources. WGC guides would love to hear from you. Our current members are listed in the "Find A Guide" section with links to their email addresses and websites.
What we do...
Each year we hold a Gathering of guides in the United States. Other gatherings take place as well - the international guides community meets every other year or so. Please see the Gathering page for more information and registration.
